Embracing Simplicity and Sustainability:
In the spirit of Ethiopian resourcefulness, I am using overly ripe bananas in our recipe. Instead of letting them go to waste, use their natural sweetness and creamy texture to create a moist and flavorful loaf. Paired with natural date sugar, this banana bread is a testament to the beauty of simple, wholesome ingredients.
Savoring the Sweetness of Date Sugar:
Date sugar, made from dried dates, adds a touch of sweetness and depth to our banana bread. Unlike refined sugars, date sugar retains the natural goodness of dates, making it a healthier alternative that’s full of flavor. It’s the perfect complement to the taste of Teff flour and the ripe bananas, creating a truly authentic and satisfying treat.
